God is within my everyday
This is a nightmare or maybe realizing the truth is waking up from it… before our conversation I was in misery before our lines linked I was disconnected before last night’s prayer I was without hope, before I met you I was without a friend. There is always a reason why things happen, why we friends with the people we friends with. A revelation! I know why u here and I understand why I heard you, you know how it feels to have your soul burnt in high flames of social acceptance, it’s so 3rd degree it might be the death of me ashes to dust my being six feet while I walk tall in 6inch stilettos but in shot of soul. Toxic injections of mind oppression like heroin I take shots to get high only for a second, I am an addict to approval, yes me. Everyday my spirit neglected a hole is dug deeper; I am in starvation and feeding of deception… Are you there? Yes, my Father replies! I am with you everyday besides your bed with solutions to mind peace, seek me. I am friends, I am family and I am that stranger you sit next to or that beggar like a prophet he’s with truth and answers with your soul cleansed I’ll speak a language you’ll understand.

Celebrating things I love so much
Thandiwa Mazwai, one of the biggest influences in my life. She represents freedom and true africanism, in honesty Thandiswa started the trend way back then when her look was weird. She started a life style for all the colourful sisters of the soil. If she didn’t manage to teach you to be comfortable in bringing modern and tradition together then you will never learn it from anyone else, no one does it like she does. You may not entirely like her but you sure know who she is and are probably moved by her music or authenticity. The beaded hairstyles, futuristic traditional garments she wears and the burning of Impepho on stage just before her performance is standard procedure today. Her music is often deeply political and her compositions include traditional Xhosa rhythms, Mbaqanga, reggae, kwaito, funk and jazz sounds. Ndiyam'thanda nyani ke qha!!!!
Got to love a sister with funk and soul.... ;)
